University of Perpetual Help — Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Medical University (UPH-DJGTMU) is an NMC, WHO, CHED, and ECFMG-recognised medical university established in 1976 by Dr. Jose G. Tamayo and Dr. Josefina Laperal Tamayo in Biñan, Laguna City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Part of the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna, UPH-DJGTMU offers a 6-year English-medium Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme. Graduates are FMGE/NExT eligible to practice medicine in India. Admissions are open for 2026.

In 1976, Dr. Jose G. Tamayo and Dr. Josefina Laperal Tamayo established the University of Perpetual Help — Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Medical University in Biñan, Laguna City — what would become the first and flagship medical campus of the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna. Their founding vision was clear and deeply personal: individual medical practice can only touch so many lives.
